My next project after the environment modelling. No the environment is not finished. But the deadline given was strict. I will continue to work on it during my production. THis environment is gonna be in my demo reel no way am I gonna compromise my texturing so I can hand it in time.
I am supposed to model a character somewhat related to the theme I gave for my enviroment.
Japanese. I sooooooo wanted to do a samurai.
BUt then after a loooooooooooooooooooooong consideration (I mean really long, something like a whole day). I decided to do a monk. Some old geezer. I wanted to show off the textures and the Zbrush work. This character concept has huge room for that than a samurai.
Anyway, here is a wip. My limit given by my lecturer Kingston was 10k. Now its...11k++ and its not even including the hand....
I need to rework on the polygon count. :S
The biggest problem I had (and still having) will be the large barrel vs my char. Its supposed to be a Japanese coffin. My char on the other hand is supposed to be some undersized dude with kickass props around him. Trying to scale the barrel so that it looks like it can fit in a human, while not make it steal focus from my main character is...well tough. And I had to bend my char very low so that the center of gravity is not off.
Supposed to start Zbrush on Tuesday. Need to finish model, retopo and unwrap the whole shit by....today? Yay :(
